It explains in detail what we know about this syndrome and how the scientific approach, whilst useful, sometimes takes less than helpful routes. Also, I explore what a useful service would be like and describe in detail how coaching works. The book is a full explanation of my thinking, as well as being chock full of practical ideas and stories from real experience

I am a parent with a late-developing high functioning Aspergers child. We have been struggling to find help for several years, and have quite a library of books on the topic. This is the first one I have read that hits the spot perfectly. It is easy to read, gives outstanding practical advice, is sensible, is clearly written by someone who has worked for years in the field - and knows what to do and how to guide parents and carers (and siblings) in what is a disturbing experience. This is a truly wonderful book, and I have sent copies to all those whom I know with similar issues. I cannot praise it too highly.
